Fifty dollars per cage for the entire trip — three nights or three weeks, same price. Amir charges by the cage, not the bird. Up to three small birds share one cage at no extra cost. No tiers, no week rate, no holiday surcharge, no peak pricing. This page is the whole menu.
No per-bird fees. No weekend premium. No holiday surcharge. No photo package add-on. No consultation fee. Cash, e-transfer, or credit — all the same price.
Drop your caged bird off at Amir's door in Burlington. The cage goes into a quiet, draft-free, low-traffic room and stays there for the full stay. Food topped up morning and evening. Water refreshed twice a day. Tray liner replaced if it needs it. Quick wellness glance each time Amir walks in.
One price per cage, flat, for the whole trip. Three budgies in one cage is $50 flat. One cockatiel in one cage is $50 flat. A lovebird pair in one cage is $50 flat. A long weekend is $50. Three full weeks is $50. The cage is the billing unit — the number of small birds inside it does not change the price, and neither does the length of the trip as long as it falls between 3 and 21 nights.
Drop-off and pickup are five minutes each. No paperwork, no consultation, no pre-stay assessment. Text Amir the morning of drop-off with an ETA and the key details about your bird.
Request a StayYour bird stays home in its own cage. Amir drives to your Burlington address on a schedule you set, lets himself in with the key or lockbox you provide, tops up food, refreshes water, changes the tray liner if it needs it, eyeballs your bird, and locks up on the way out. Each visit is a flat $7.
Most owners book a morning visit and an evening visit — two visits a day, $14 total. Some owners only need one visit a day. Some only need a drop-in every other day for a bird that takes care of itself. Amir works with whatever schedule makes sense for your bird.
This is the right choice for diamond doves, bonded finch pairs, and any small bird that gets stressed when the cage leaves the house. Also the cheapest option for short trips — a weekend away is usually $28 to $56 total.
Request Drop-In VisitsSame three budgies, same cage. Only the trip length changes. Every competitor rate below is real — quotes collected by phone from eleven Burlington and GTA bird-and-pet boarders in March and April 2026. The Amir row is flat: every cell is the same $50 because the rate is per-trip, not per-night.
| Boarder Type | 3 nights | 7 nights | 14 nights | 21 nights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium avian $45/bird/night |
$405 | $945 | $1,890 | $2,835 |
| Mid-range pet boarder $25/bird/night |
$225 | $525 | $1,050 | $1,575 |
| Budget pet boarder $15/bird/night |
$135 | $315 | $630 | $945 |
| Amir — Lakeshore Bird Care $50/cage/trip, flat |
$50 | $50 | $50 | $50 |
| You save vs premium | $355 | $895 | $1,840 | $2,785 |
The Amir row is a flat line because the rate is a single whole-trip fee, not a nightly rate. At 3 nights you save at least $85; at 21 nights you save $895 versus the budget pet boarder and $2,785 versus the premium avian boarder. Every competitor above charges per bird, per night, and most add an enrichment or photo-update fee at checkout. Your actual competitor quote will vary with the day, the birds, and the add-ons.
Amir only takes the small caged species below. If your bird is bigger than a small conure, please book somewhere else — this room is not set up or priced for large parrots, and it would be unfair to all of us to pretend otherwise.
Macaws, cockatoos, African Greys, Amazons, Eclectus, Pionus, large conures, and any medium or large parrot. No raptors, waterfowl, poultry, chickens, or exotic species. No birds outside a standard travel or home cage.
